Dr. Robert E. Horvat

Robert E. Horvat joined Buffalo State College in 1973 as a science education faculty member of the General Science Department (now the Earth Sciences and Science Education Department) with a focus in science education, curriculum, and environmental education. During his tenure he served as department chair twice, participated in numerous departmental and campus committees, and was active on local civic and environmental committees, including the Erie County Environmental Management Council. During 1995-1997 Dr. Horvat was the Associate Director of the Science Education for Public Understanding Program at the Lawrence Hall of Science (Berkeley, CA). Following his retirement in 1999, Dr. Horvat became involved with several musical organizations.
