Ray Barrett, '49 Diversity in the Teacher Pipeline Scholarship
Description: The Fund will provide non-tuition scholarships to recruit and support incoming first year students intending to major in education who will increase the diversity in the teacher pipeline, particularly for schools in the City of Buffalo, New York.
Requirements: Recipient must have participated in the Urban Teacher Academy currently located in McKinley High School, must have applied for Say Yes Grant and Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo Scholarship, have a declared major in education, intend to teach in the City of buffalo, and bring diversity to the teacher pipeline. Preference given to students living on campus.
Semester(s) Awarded: Fall and spring
Renewable: Previous recipients may receive the scholarship for up to 4 additional years provided the student continues to pursue a degree in education and remains in good academic standing.
