George Floyd Memorial Scholarship Fund

Description: The George Floyd Memorial Scholarship Fund provides a non-tuition scholarship to students who are committed to promoting racial justice and equity efforts in their community.
Requirements: recipient must be incoming full time (12+ credit hours) first year student, be of African descent, possess a determination to address systemic racism
Semester(s) Awarded: Fall and Spring
Renewable: Yes, recipient is eligible to receive the scholarship for up to three additional years (a total of four years) as long as the recipient maintains good academic standing and selection committee determines the recipient continues to promote racial harmony each academic year. If the selection committee determines a recipient no longer meets the criteria, the student will lose the scholarship and will not be eligible to receive the scholarship again.
