Description: Provides one scholarship annually to a Buffalo State student who has a declared major in STEM
Requirements: Qualified applicants will be in good academic standing, unmet financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office through a completed FAFSA, have a declared major in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) including degrees in biology, chemistry, earth sciences, science education, physics; career and technical education, computer information systems; engineering technology, mathematics, or other degree defined to be a STEM degree; would contribute to the diversity of the student body in the program for which they are applying; or is a member of a group that is historically under-represented at Buffalo State; or have overcome obstacles such as socioeconomic, educational, or other disadvantages or disabilities.
Semesters Awarded: Fall and Spring
Renewable: No, however a student may receive scholarship more than once if they apply annually and are found to be the most qualified applicant.
