Beulah Sowden Educational Fund

Description: Provide an annual scholarship to a Native American student enrolled full-time at Buffalo State College.
Requirements: Minimum 3.0 GPA, full time enrollment, be enrolled as a member of a federally recognized Native American nation in the United States or indigenous nation in Canada or a first generation descent of an enrolled member of a federally recognized Native American nation in the United States or indigenous nation in Canada. Special consideration may be given to candidates who have volunteer experience in Native American public service agencies, community groups, and other entities serving Native American communities in the United State and Canada; and/or who have hardship due to personal illness, or emergencies such as family illness, or death.

Renewable: Yes, for up to 4 years provided the recipient continues to meet the requirements.
