Dr. Yung M. Kim
Dr. Yung M. Kim was born in 1937, in Seoul, Korea and received his elementary, secondary, and college education in Seoul, Korea. After serving three years in South Korean Army, he came to the United States in 1961.
He received his Ph.D. degree in Economics in 1971 and J.D. degree in 1983, both from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He also attended Syracuse University, receiving an MPA degree in 1963 and Clark University, receiving an AM degree in Economics in 1965.
Dr. Kim is currently Professor of Economics and Finance at Buffalo State and has been at Buffalo State since 1968. He has authored and taught many courses including Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, International Economics, Public Finance, Labor Economics, Federal Individual Income Taxation, Economics Analysis of Law, and Estate Planning & Taxation.
Dr. Kim serves on the boards of numerous civic organizations and lectures on various aspects of estate planning and taxation to both professional groups and the public. He is a co-author of two books published by National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys: Legacy: Plan, Protect, and Preserve Your Estate, and Generations: Plan Your Legacy. Dr. Kim has been admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey since 1990.
Dr. Kim is married to Boin C. Kim, M.D. and they have two children, Sandra and Richard.
