Dr. Winifred H. Morrison, '46, '64
A lifelong teacher and educator, Dr. Winifred H. Morrison began her career in the classroom teaching kindergarten, pre-kindergarten and elementary students, later using these experiences as an adjunct professor at the University at Buffalo Graduate School of Education and as a guest lecturer at other colleges and universities. She also dedicated countless hours to community organizations, working to improve childhood education within families and in the community, particularly for children with disabilities. Prior to her retirement from Heritage Centers in 1995, after serving as President for twelve years, a playground designed specifically for children with disabilities was dedicated to Dr. Morrison.
